Nine of us cleared out the burdock and filled the feeders at the nature trail at the Am. Falls trout farm yesterday. Already present were WCSP, DEJU, YRWA,
and lots of AMRO. I witnessed a Merlin almost take out a robin. Also present were a SSHA and a GHOW. A yellowish shafted NOFL also flew by. Above the dam there were 13 Common Loons.
Good Birding!

Always forward, never straight…
On Saturday afternoon I found a PACIFIC LOON near the mouth of Harrison
Slough at the Coeur d’Alene River delta near the town of Harrison on the
east side of Lake Coeur d’Alene with about 85 COMMON LOONS and a fly-by
female SURF SCOTER. A BLUE JAY was calling in Harrison (probably the most
reliable location for Blue Jays in Idaho), and another 20+ COMMON LOONS
were near Rocky Point on Lake Chatcolet (Heyburn State Park, east of
Plummer)
Good Birding,
