I just saw a flock of approximately 200 Bohemian Waxwings here in Halfway OR. I assumed they were cedars but when I looked through my scope …what a thrill. A couple of cedars were mixed in. They are rare for this area according to Sibley’s.
For those of you in Boise who have been waiting for Pine Siskins to show up at your feeders, I can happily report that 6 of them showed up at mine this AM. My FOS.
I just refound the Pocatello Hoary Redpoll. It took me two tries, but this time i got the flock moving around a bit. It is a little over half a mile up the trail along the creek at: 42.78508, -112.44613
Just keeping updates going on this great bird,
Austin
