Bohemians are so beautiful! They’re the Waxwings I knew in Anchorage for many years.

It’s an unusual year. Haven’t seen then here in 18 years and suddenly I’m finding them in parks mixed with cedars. I love their calls.

bohemian waxwings in NE OR
I just saw a flock of approximately 200 Bohemian Waxwings here in Halfway OR. I assumed they were cedars but when I looked through my scope …what a thrill. A couple of cedars were mixed in. They are rare for this area according to Sibley’s.
