Thanks as well Carl for the explanation. I am not sure I have ever seen the High vs Low filters explained before. This also may explain why sightings of birds like Yellow-breasted Chats and Black-headed Grosbeaks from high up in the Boise foothills are flagged as rare even though essentially every list submitted at the specific locations have the birds. So, the bird may be common at the location but rare in the overall area.
