I agree, definitely pine siskin. Another helpful clue, they often travel with goldfinches, plus the warblers feed primarily on bugs and berries, so would not be eating seeds on the ground, instead feeding on insects in the air and in the trees etc. Great capture though, I have not seen any yet this year in the yard!

Thanks for the ID. They seemed to me to be too large for Pine Siskins and we haven’t had a Pine Siskin in the yard in at least two years. For further confirmation, we woke up to a bird bath full of Pine Siskins splashing water everywhere.
The small flock seems to have moved on. Hopefully, they will return.
