Have been taking advantage of the sunshine today before some winter weather hits in time for Thanksgiving. And, watching a Rocky Mt Juniper windrow I planted years ago. There’s a bumper crop of juniper berries on several of the trees this season & the birds have been taking full advantage of the bounty for several days now.

Most numerous have been Am Robins & Cedar Waxwings. I’ve counted as many as 30 Robins & 10 Waxwings coming in at once. Also present are: BC Chickadees, House Finches, Townsend’s Solitaires, N Flicker, a lone Blue Jay and a rooster RN Pheasant. All making for some colorful & natural ornaments, as they glean through the branches picking berries.
