Re: [IBLE] hummingbird report – west boise

Nice report Larry. We still have 3 black-chins and 1 Rufous Hummer coming to feeder and the many blooming salvias and agastache. Keep looking for an Anna’s to join them.
Evening Grosbeaks have stopped by to feed on striped sunflower seeds we grew in garden and a flock of Pine Siskins have been coming into bird baths the last few days. The local Sharp-shins and Cooper’s hawks are keeping everybody on their toes.
Cooler weather will soon bring in juncos and sparrows to yard but have already seen a lot of those during Deer Flat NWR walks. Fall migration could bring rarities and I keep my eyes/ears open!
