I see them several times a week at the bridge by the old race track (which is totally being plowed into submission—can’t get down
Remington St. anymore).

I was intrigued to come across a pair yesterday on the Boise River 100 yards west of the Garden City Library. Seems unlikely it was the same pair from the day before but I savored the thought.

Just FYI there are quite a few on the Boise River from the Diversion Dam downstream to the Broadway Bridge where I have seen and photographed them and I also have seen them reported further downstream also.
They have become regulars over the last few years and I see them every winter.

In the 70s they were regularly on the Council, ID, sewer ponds in winter.
