Re: [texbirds] Mad Island CBC

That’s Bush League stuff, Larry. If we only get 230 species on our CBC here in San Blas (Jan. 2) I’ll be wanting to slit my wrists . . .

We had 294 species last year, with only 28 counters (that was the most since 1986, however). If I had the team they have in Texas, we’d top 300 species every year. We had 310 with count week birds.
Easy flights to Puerto Vallarta – maybe you’d like to join us . . .

Re: eBird Trip Summary — Today

CBC peoples,

Has anyone else peeked at Jason’s effort for yesterday’s CBC?
not knowing his full effort, to me it’s nothing short of epic / heroic / because his 2nd list (below) is for a ten-mile trek across the Scottish Highlands !!   ðŸ˜‰

he had an amazing day for species and numbers…….!!!

Ada County Rare Bird Alert and Boise CBC

From an eBird perspective….sp listed below were all photographed and are already confirmed, except for Barred Owl, but it soon will be? because Ceredig’s photo was embedded…

Sincere thanks for your summary report, Jay!! All highlights you mention are awesome, but to me the TWO NEW WARBLER SPECIES are esp fascinating =)
For the history of the Boise count (1966-2019), eight sp of warblers have been reported and accepted…..

WOW !!!

Larry
