A very dark merlin, possibly suckleyi, along Big Foot Bar Road NW of Grandview yesterday (Nov 6) afternoon. Sorry, no photos.

Also a late Common Tern, a Least Sandpiper, etc. so far.

The adult had a large small fish to feed to young  3 times he gave to young  I guess too big finally as you can see adult ends up eating it as you can see last photo

I think this is a juvenile red-tail hawk. Larger feet, speckled upper breast and I believe I see unfeathered legs. Color of beak is consistent, too.

I did not look at this closely  until I saw the chatter about the rough leg  could this be one too

That dark eyeline makes me think yes.  Looks like wingtips reach tail?
