We have an excellent seed and chokecherry/service berry crop, so all my seed customers are up in the woods. The only things flying around here are magpies, turkeys, until someone starts shooting at them (not on my property), the occasional Redtail, Box Elder bugs, and hornets.

For a week now, it’s been a steady stream of Yellow-rumped Warblers working through the cottonwoods. The RC Kinglets seem to have pushed on now. Also, White-crowned Sparrows have been pushing through &, yesterday, DE Juncos arrived.

Not that I saw that time. I did see it take a fish from one way out it in the lake but no good photos too much atmospheric disturbance close to the water with water warmer than the air this morning.

10-4-22 Wilson Lake Reservoir Jerome County, Idaho Parasitic Jaeger and Ring-billed Gull. My favorite sequence of this interaction between another lifer for me a Parasitic Jaeger and the Ring-billed Gull it was harassing. They are called parasitic because they steal the fish or other meals from other birds. This sequence took less than 3 seconds.
