Thanks Liz …. since it just said Owl and there were so many there looking at the Great Grays recently I made a wrong assumption.
For the most part I have only been chasing birds I have never seen or photographed in Idaho so I have not added to the numbers at Montour 🙂

I had friends there on Friday 1-14 and they saw 3 all in trees at mid morning and a lot of photographers and birders.
Was it a reliable report of seeing an injured Great Gray on the ground?
I have had people show me an injured raptor on the ground and I explained to them it was mantling over pray and watched with them until the raptor flew away after dining.
With the number of people having been there on 1-12 and since I would imagine that if it was injured it has been rescued or something has eaten it.

Has anyone reported to F&G or Black Canyon Parks about the owl with the injured wing found in the Montour campground on the 12th? Has anyone else observed it since then?
