Thanks Peter. At first, I thought they were all AMGO, until I looked at the upper right bird. Which made me wonder… Hoping to get a better look at them.

Those look like nonbreeding plumage American Goldfinch. Some of the redpoll flocks that I’ve seen have had them (and siskins, etc.) mixed in too.

Found a group of 30 or so of these late yesterday, near dusk, in Montour. The light was fading fast and this shot was the only one I could get before they took off. Some appeared either faintly or near unstreaked. Any thoughts?

Common Redpoll
Past few days have had numerous Am Goldfinches feeding on both sunflower & thistle seeds. Yest, had a couple of Pine Siskins doing same. Today, a Common Redpoll is present, hitting both feeders, as well. Hoping more show! Had a large flock come thru early Jan, but none since, til now.
Also, a WB Nuthatch has been around. Now, just need some WW Crossbills to show. Winter Finches do seem to be on the move.

Since biking on a snowy day can be dangerous, I tend to wait for my feathered friends to come and visit me. Today, our neighborhood Cooper’s Hawk made 2 (unsuccessful) trips to our yard. I’ve attached a photo shot from inside the house
on one of the trips.

BTW, how many people on the list serve have ever been to an Alice Cooper concert? One of the most bizarre concerts out of the many bizarre concerts I attended (in my younger days).
