As with everyone else who has had Cable One as their email (for years), I am migrating to a new address. Since it’s pouring rain outside, I thought I’d take this opportunity to announce my new email. I’m hoping whoever is in charge will read this and take pity on an old fart who loves to get all the bird news of Idaho, and allow me to continue to get the postings.

So, my new email address is tmccabe9@…. I was fortunate to get one similar to my old one, though that may actually cause confusion. Cable One will not stop email in Boise until December 31, 2021, but I thought I should try to stay ahead of that date.

On another note, last week I surpassed 4,000 miles on my bike for the year. This is the 10^th year in a row. But, hey, who’s counting?

He/she continues to hang out. Two days ago, it let me get to within 3 feet of it. It seems to like fishermen. I watched it follow a hooked fish all the way to the dock at the west end. The fisherman took a few swats at it with a second fishing pole, then threw the caught fish to the Loon, who immediately wolfed it down.

The bird’s plumage has gone dull for the winter. We go every day to check its status.
