10:30 water level down lots of mud flat.lots of birds .many ducks far from road ones I could identify canvas back. N.pintail gr & blue wing teals lots of shore birds mostly L.b.dowichers pectoral.– spotted — stilt–least — & red neck phalas speaking of red necks l was told water to keep locals with 4 wheelers from making big ruts good news for birders
Would love to see that! A female GHOW has been calling here around 1 a.m. a few times this past week – hard to sleep through. Can’t they wait until after the holidays?
I was on the Remington Street Bridge where Tom described and heard the “jay” call coming from the island just now. I walked the island and finally heard it call again. It was enough for me to find it. Then another Blue Jay came. I had two sitting in a tree next to the path as I made my way back around. They flew north over the river. Then a third came in from behind and followed the other two. If you hang out at the bridge long enough I think you might have some luck.
