Hey Bill,
I found someone out-of-state who’ll trade you 30 turkeys for 30 grosbeaks, even with the higher shipping and handling costs of turkeys! 😉

I saw a single Rosy Finch this morning in the huge Evening Grosbeak flock.
By the way, I’m running a sale on Evening Grosbeaks, minimum order 30. I can’t guarantee delivery, but I’ll put in a word for you.

An immature N Goshawk was seen in Boise’s Hulls Gulch area high up in some poplars west of the lower parking lot (close to trail #35A-Red-winged blackbird trail). It was there at about 10:30 this morning, but upon coming back to the area an hour later it had apparently moved.

In case anyone in Idaho is wondering, the Emperor Goose is still in the Old Mill District of Bend, Oregon. He hangs with 2 Greater White-Fronted Geese and 80+ Canada Geese right off a main road (Reed Market). He is there first thing in the morning and then often moves to the Sholes Road pond (e-Bird listing) by noon.
Hi birders,
Yesterday afternoon I saw an adult Goshawk along the greenbelt at about mile marker SE 3.4. Thought it was worth a mention because I have never seen one here before.
