Old friend of mine, back in my early days of birding with my dad. He had a Black-billed Cuckoo that hung around his property at least a couple of summers. He could imitate it perfectly and call it in. Al was very involved in the Audubon society. I doubt he ever was associated with IBLE. Haven’t seen him since before his wife Hilda passed away.
