[IBLE] RE: Indigo Bunting – YES

p.s. I don’t fear death (when birding), but I do fear pain (dentists)!

Does this make sense? 😉

Cheryl,

Thx for your heads-up about THE DIP!

that thing could have swallowed our Prius, as in *poof* gone!

and thx for a perfect description of where to park and search for THE BIRD,

which Missy and I found by following it’s voice (0610 hrs),

and we soon found it singing atop a sunflower,

just past the large dead tree (shaped like a Black Cottonwood?),

all on the left side of the road, walking westward less than 150 yds from THE DIP.

and Yes, thank you Karen for this nice find!!

A toppermost morning on the planet – state lifer and no cavities! Sweet deal 😉

Just refound the indigo bunting reported earlier today at Ft Boise in canyon co. I used the coordinates with this mornings checklist and bird was right there singing. And it still is! I parked just after crossing the bridge- watch for the dip!- and walked a little west with trees on both sides! Thank you Karen Knoling!

This just hit my eBird rare bird alert. I probably won’t head out for it tonight but I’m very interested to hear updates if others go looking.
