[IBLE] More Young Black-chinned Hummingbirds

Today has been one of only Black-chinned Hummingbirds coming into the nectar feeder. Both adults & juveniles. At least one of the juveniles must be a male & is just starting to get a few irridescent gorget feathers.

Another must be the offspring of the “chocolate” male Black-chinned I noted the other day. It’s a juvenile bird & a Black-chinned in all respects, except it has a chocolate-brown colored top of head & chocolate-rufous coloring on its back & tail, where normally green would show. I counted 7 distinct Black-chinneds today, 2 males, 2 females, the rest, juveniles.
