This afternoon, both the Black Scoter and Long-tailed Duck were still at the Gridley Bridge in the vicinity of the small island near the bridge at US-30 south of Hagerman. LT duck was diving intermittently underneath the bridge. After 45 minutes or so, the scoter appeared swimming in from down-river.
