Hi all, I am back for a couple of days in the Boise area after birding eastern Idaho and getting the Cassia Crossbills, twice. We also had an Indigo Bunting just south of Idaho and I thought of your bird that was spotted earlier this year.

I headed out this morning, back to Hull’s Gulch and couldn’t believe who I ran into. The Barred Owl, again! It was a relatively quiet morning. Much different from the morning in May that I birded there, but was still pleased to have a Chat, Quail, and lots of birds of prey.

Attached are photos of the Barred. Honestly, he doesn’t look that healthy. I hope it is just how he was sitting and the time of day.
