It’s definitely a Barred Owl. Great Gray lacks the white
underparts and white barring on the upperparts and has dark facial
discs.

A gentleman reported that this owl flew into his window twice last night. He is listed as “Parkcenter” area. Comments ID as barred vs great grey. I’m inclined to go with barred since we have seen them at Shakespeare.
Vaccine … My wife got one for 3-1 in Boise close to home and I got none 5 minutes later and several tries since still none.

Thanks. Lesser scalp did not occur to me as I hadn’t seen any in the area yet this season and the duck appeared to be so very black except for the white on its sides.
Appears to be a Lesser Scaup with some wing damage. The photos are not clear enough to see the size of the nail on the bill but the shape of the head seems more peaked and not as round in the back as a Greater Scaup would be.

It appears to be some sort of a hybrid? Note the gray bill and brown eye also the head structure reminds me of a ring-necked.
