Northern Goshawk

Today, for the first time in several years, I found a gorgeous Northern Goshawk along the Boise River Greenbelt. He was just downstream of Silver Lake and just upstream of the fork in the river that creates Plantation Island. He posed for quite a while for me, but then left in a flash. Way cool.

It was a much warmer bike ride today, with 39 birds. In addition to the NOGO, there were at least 5 GB Herons in different locations, a continuing GH Owl, and a Quinn’s Pond so covered in gulls that it looked like you could have walked across on their backs (assuming they were inclined to allow such a thing).

Ada Co. Landfill

My first real posting here, beyond yesterday’s test.
Seem to be having some trouble logging in. I can log in with my email/password only from the Home Page. Any/all other pages that permit me to sign in reject both my email as well as my password, don’t say which. Am I going about this the wrong way? Should I stay constantly logged in or as normal, sign-in/sign-out as required? Or is it that I can only sign-in when I am logged in on my ISP’s email site, which is what seems to be happening? Haven’t yet figured out what is…?
Was up to the landfill a bit ago. Only got 5 MODO’s and one RTHA, the latter feeding on something small while perched on a power pole. The top was totally fogged in. Not able to see anything so called it. Another time.
Signing-out… perplexedly… for the moment.
