Silver city also saw my calliope and got photos never see them at feeders looking at throat pattern being smallest I wonder if it’s to look more fierce help on I’d of photo

That Rose-breasted phenom of yours is intriguing !! we’ve chased several in Idaho, missed every time, have since given up on them for our Idaho list.
We had one at our feeders during 15 years in W Colorado, I think for two days
I’m always curious about range expansion, like possibly yours and others’ Blue Jays?
There have been several range-expansion happenings in W Colorado over the last 20-25 yrs that include Black Phoebe, Lucy’s Warbler, WW Dove, Lesser Nighthawk, and EC Dove of course….
Hereabouts (Treasure Valley), Bewick’s Wren has thrown down an anchor just since we moved here 8 yrs ago, and Mute Swans and EC Doves are as well now established as residents
WW Dove appears wanting to be here too, but at a slower pace of arrival
I remember like it was yesterday when Terry Gray showed me the first known EC Doves in Latah County, maybe these by Kas in 2007 ? https://ebird.org/checklist/S31324189

2 Arrivals
Two foy arrivals today. An adult male Rose-breasted Grosbeak came into the feeder & cracked sunflower seeds for nearly 10 min. Haven’t pulled my records yet, but first arrival of a Rose-breasted was 3-4 yrs ago & at least one has arrived every spring since. Believe the Blue Jay is fully gone now, last sighting was about a week ago.
The other arrival was a Common Nighthawk that flew over while calling. Always enjoy their call. Finally, a female Am Kestrel was hovering over our west side pasture & suddenly went into a dive, disappearing into tall grass. Only to appear & fly off with a vole in its talons.

Custer County Eastern Phoebe
I just found an EASTERN PHOEBE at the BLM Cottonwood Recreation Site on the Salmon River south of Ellis in Custer County. It was first located near the horseshoe pits as soon as you pull into the complex and before the first restrooms. It then flew towards the boat launch, and I lost it. I got some photos that I’ll get onto eBird eventually and submit to the IBRC. Quite a few other migrants are present.

Blackpoll male at Avimor (Ada Co)
Another Blackpoll in SW Idaho – this time found by Robert Mortensen and Jason Talbot at Avimor (Spring Valley trail) this morning. They also mentioned an intriguing mystery/unid’d warbler (I’ll let them weigh in as time allows) but that one flew over the hill & is torturing them. They’re still seeing the Blackpoll as of a few minutes ago …

Also in the Pocatello area: saw my first Tanager of the year a few days ago at Edson Fichter Nature Area, then today at Cherry Springs. On my way home from Cherry Springs, one flew right in front of my car a few blocks north of the University!
