GG OWL

Hello,

I was wondering if the great gray owl was still in the location it has been in?  I live pretty far away and I am considering coming to see.  I am a respectful birder & don’t get too close or bother the birds.  Anyway, I thought I would ask before I make the long drive.  🙂  Thank you in advance.

Re: ID this poor creature?

Thank you, Ken.  They’ve been seen closer to Montour but still… the black cap kind of threw me.

Color on face, gray legs, and length of beak has us guessing some kind of grouse or partridge – there are game and exotic bird breeding fanciers not far from the site.

Many thanks, all,
