Adults also have black belly patches in breeding plumage. If the
black was limited it’s probably n the process of molting into
alternate plumage.

4:15 lower dam canal saw & photo dunlin with
some black on belly i looked Sibley guide this should be
juvenile but it says starts July and but very seldom seen south
of breeding area anyone explaining this ?? Help
