Another sign of spring was the Osprey that Susan and I saw on Monday at Veterans Park Pond. Unfortunately, it hasn’t reappeared.

Tonight I can hear Tundra Swans flying over my house in Island
Park for the first time. I guess spring is getting close.

Note of interest to those. Like me who did not know about this across from parma rural fire station in a week or two they see up to 100 or so turkey’s in the field to the right of the house
Bewick’s Tundra Swan Near Carey
Kathleen Cameron just asked me to report that she and Poo Wright-Pulliam have a Bewick’s Tundra Swan on a pond near Carey. The pond is on highway 26 south of Carey where Payne Rd. connects with HWY 26. She sent a photo and it’s a cool looking bird with a lot of yellow on the bill.
