Tom!!! That is incredible. I will be on the lookout. We hung our heated hummer feeder a few days ago and we have a female coming to it already.
I want to see that Redpoll. Very cool.

How great to have a Hoary Redpoll! It’s another bird I miss after leaving Anchorage. They were fairly regular winter visitors accompanying the Common Redpolls at my feeders in the lower hillside.
You were actually biking! Do you have studs in your tires for frosty trail riding?

Reports are out saying this is going to be an amazing irruption this winter so we should see more of these cone seed eating birds in our area
