Re: [IBLE] Fwd: The Birdman of Idaho Has Built Homes for Over 40,000 Bluebirds

Larry-

Great to read your reference to Al Larson.

I got to know Al and Hilda in the early 80s after moving to Boise and
joining Golden Eagle Audubon where they served in many capacities.

Here is one fun fact from that era that speaks to their multi-faceted
efforts for birds and those of us who love them: they ran a small but
thriving business selling seed for bird feeders, with profits going to
Audubon. One of their offerings which was a first for most if not all of us
was black oil sunflower seed.

[IBLE] strange dream last night…….

I kept hearing a squeaky toy.

And when my eyes popped open at 0430 hrs, I was still hearing it…

Turns out it was one of my Screech Buddies, as in WESO =)

Wow, they do a wonderful job at keeping our mouse population in check. maybe even better / more efficient / than a cat would do?

We’ve been wearing hard hats lately whilst outside doing yard “work” as a cautionary measure because of all these chipity zippy hummingbirds 😉 still only Black-chins here in west Boise…..

Nice cloudy but humid day in River City,

Larry and Missy
