I don’t think it’s a first for the State of Idaho however. In May of 2014 several persons, including myself, saw and heard an Alder Flycatcher at the Camas National Wildlife Refuge in Jefferson County (about 30 miles North of Idaho Falls). It was there for several days. I saw and heard it on the 24th of that month. I didn’t file a rare bird sighting, assuming others who had found it before me had done so.
