on the christmas bird count a few years back, Ben Brock and I saw a couple in the bushes there by that fishing platform (south side of river). That area might be a spot for them. Thinking we should keep an eye out for them going forward.

Sounds and looks good for Winter Wren! On this bird it seems like you can
actually see a brighter supercilium and paler underparts as opposed to less
prominent supercilium and overall uniformly dark brown underparts as in
Pacific Wren.

Also present was the Golden-crowned Sparrow found on the Christmas Bird Count, 2 Pacific Wrens, a Marsh Wren and a Red-breasted Merganser.

The annual winter gathering of roosting Bald Eagles is well underway at
Camas Refuge. Currently about 30 eagles can be seen in the cottonwood rows
next to refuge headquarters. These birds can be easily viewed from the
public road, even while staying in the warmth of your car.
Please do not disturb the eagles or spoil the viewing opportunities of
others by walking or driving past the Area Closed signs.

I was surprised to see a Northern Mockingbird at Celebration Park on the Snake River near Melba, Idaho on Jan 1, 2018. It was hanging out in the Russian olive trees on the river bank just upstream from the Guffey bridge.
Hi Robert,The birds you saw today at Wilson’s are all domestic breeds. The duck looks like a Black Swedish. I’m thinking the goose is a Super African or a Super African hybrid due to the pink bill. Wilson’s has two other goose breeds that are white and one other Super African. There are also a few other domestic duck breeds too.
