Hey there Scott.
Looks like I will have to pay your neighborhood a visit. Not only would a PIGR be a Year Bird for me, it would also be an Ada Co. Lifer. Put me ahead of Jason Talbot on the Ada Co. ebird listing. But, who’s keeping track.
What seems to be the best time of day for a good possibility to get it?

For those that don’t want to head up to the Boise Peak area I had one
flying around the neighborhood this morning in the Boise Highlands –
around the intersection of Braemere and Keldoon. I have them show up
every 5 years or so — this is not the first time they have been here.

Thanks for the heads up, Danette. I found about 12 Pine Grosbeak at Boise Peak this morning and followed them for a while until they flew into private property. They held still for a few photos.
Thank you. My Sibleys must be an older version, no hybrids. It has returned off and on since the first sighting. It appears to be hanging with 3-4 Stellars Jays.
One adult and two juvenile Tundra Swans at the Portneuf Wellness Center lake (Pocatello) just after 1pm today. First time I have seen Tundra Swans there! Mike
Just wanted to pass on that there are also Pine Grosbeak today at Boise Peak. Not quite as local as Morris Hill but in case folks want to look in another area. We drove up 8th Street (Sunset Peak Rd) all the way to Boise Peak and hiked around the area. We encountered 6 PIGR, they were frequently calling and perching in the tree tops. Just remember it is hunting season and there are quite a few hunters in the woods so be sure to be visible.
