Always forward, never straight…
sun is out and birds are singing….!!
what a glorious morning =)
Missy and I tallied 46 sp of birds along our little stretch of boise greenbelt, 2.6 miles each way from home
my personal faves are always the songsters
e.g., bewick’s wrens are nearly saturating some sections of our ride, reminding me of one of Jason’s notes about them, either on IBLE or on an ebird list ?
pacific wren was singing as well, and i sometimes think “song begets song” as other species engage with their own joyous music…
these temperatures feel like spring, eyiyiyi

Re: JUNK: Re: [IBLE] Arizona birding
The Gilbert Water Ranch Riparian Preserve is a great place to bird. We go there regularly when we are staying in Tempe. It is often listed for unusual or hard-to-see birds on the AZNM list for Maricopa County. Another place with many good birds in Phoenix area is Veterans Oasis Park, and also Hassayampa in Wickenburg about 1 ¼ hours west. There are very good websites for birding both Phoenix and Tucson, and their surrounding areas. Ebird hotspots and checklists are very valuable sources of information.

Re: Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch | Town of Gilbert, Arizona
Look at the website, go to More Pages and look at the birds section. Also, The Riparian Preserve is an e-bird Hotspot where you can see a list from Jan. 26 which includes what my group saw plus a few more.
