I fit in some birding while traveling from Moscow to Coeur d’Alene,
Saturday. At Lake Chatcolet in Heyburn State Park I had one RED-THROATED
LOON with 3 PACIFIC LOONS, a late American White Pelican, and a Eurasian
Wigeon. A SWAMP SPARROW was calling near the nearby Plummer Marsh
Boardwalk. On Harlow Point Road alongside Harrison Slough, at the CDA River
delta I had a very late COMMON YELLOWTHROAT (only the second November
record in eBird for Idaho) and a N. Pygmy-owl.
