meanwhile,

hummer activity here in W Boise is in crescendo, just Black-chins so far, but we know others are coming

we saw 100s of hums of 4 sp this morning near Twin Falls…… toppermost place in Idaho…. we counted 45 humfeeders of significant size, not unlike ROUS’s (rodents of unusual size, Princess Bride)
our estimate was 70% BC, 15% BT, 10% RU, 5% CA, males of all but RU
